Malek Mechouet

Senior Underwriter (Facultative)

Malek has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tizi Ouzou (Algeria) and is a Certified Insurance Practitioner by the IAA (Tunisia) and Enass (France). He has over 15 years of experience in the Insurance and Reinsurance Industry in Algeria, France and Tunisia. Currently Malek leads the Facultative underwriting team of Oman Re.

Zohaib Arshad

Senior Underwriter (Treaty)

Zohaib is a Chartered Insurer, ACII, and holds an MBA in Insurance & Risk Management. His experience in the reinsurance industry spans more than 9 years and covers markets such as Singapore, Pakistan and Bahrain. Previous roles include with AON Benfield and with Trust Re where he led the Treaty portfolio for Indian subcontinent. Currently Zohaib leads the Treaty underwriting team of Oman Re.

Malek Mohammad Ali

Head of Claims

Malek is a Marine & non-Marine Certified Surveyor with more than 19 years of reinsurance industry experience. Prior to joining Oman Re in April 2013 as Head of Claims, Malek worked for various international reinsurance companies.

Ramesh Narayan

Head of Technical Accounts

A seasoned Insurance & Reinsurance Professional with over 23 years of experience, Ramesh possesses expertise in Technical Accounts (Treaty & Facultative) and Underwriting having worked with direct Insurance and Reinsurance companies. He holds an Advanced Diploma in insurance from Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF).

Khulood Al Jufaili

Internal Audit Manager

Khulood has over 6 years of experience in the fields of Internal Audit and Compliance in the insurance sector. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Finance and Commercial Law from Curtin University in Perth, Australia.

Rahma Al-Harthy

Human Resources Officer

Holding a Diploma in Human Resources Practice, and a higher Diploma in Administration and Information Management, Rahma’s professional experience spans 10 years, with almost 6 years in the field of Human Resources in both the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Rahma’s international outlook has enabled her to engage with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams at all levels.
